Types of alloy tools.
Cemented carbide is the tungsten drill class (WC), tungsten Chin drill class (WC-TiC), tungsten Chin Tan (Ni) drill class (W-Tic-TaC) and other hard carbides sintered with Co as a binding agent material. Invented by the German company Krupp in 1926, the main body of the W-Co system. In cast iron, non-ferrous metals and non-metals in the cutting of excellent performance. 1929-1931 around, Tic and TaC and other additives such as composite carbide carbide system in the cutting of ferrous metals showed excellent performance. So. Cemented carbide has been popularized to a large extent. According to the ISO standard, mainly based on the hardness and strength of cemented carbide, cemented carbide insert materials are roughly divided into three categories: P.M, IC.
(1) K class national standard for YG class, the composition of WC + Co. Suitable for processing short cut genus of light color metal, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials. The main components are carbide pigeon (WC) and 3% -1091, drill (Cc), sometimes also contains a small I carbonization of Tan and other additives.
(2) P class national standard for YT class, the composition of WC + TiC. suitable for processing long chips of ferrous metals. The main play components are carbide drink, tungsten carbide and drill (or set). Sometimes add additives such as carbonized crude.
(3) M class national standards for Yw class, the composition of WC + TiC + TaC, suitable for processing long chips into short chips of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Composition and performance between the K class and P class, can be used to process key and cast iron. The above is the general classification of cemented carbide used for general cutting tools. In addition to this, there are also ultra-micro-razor carbide. It can be regarded as belonging to K class. However, because of its sintering performance requires a higher content of Co bonding agent f, so the high a performance is poor. Mostly only used in drilling, reaming and other low-speed cutting tools.
